Napoli manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that star forward Kvicha Kvaratskhelia is happy at the club amid continued speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
The 23-year-old has been a key figure at the club since joining in 2022, scoring 14 goals and providing 17 assists in his first season as the club won the ยูฟ่าเบท Serie A title. Last season, despite a dip in form, he still managed 11 goals and nine assists.
His impressive performances have made him a target for several top clubs, with Manchester City, Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain and most recently Liverpool all linked.
However, after internal discussions, Conte confirmed that Kvaratskhelia is happy and will not leave the team this summer.
“The president told me he will stay with the team. I am happy. Kvaratskhelia and Di Lorenzo are key to our project,” Fabrizio Romano, a famous journalist, revealed Conte’s words.
Conte’s statement follows the news of PSG’s mega-money offer for Victor Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia. UFABET have allegedly prepared a mind-blowing €200 million bid to sign the Napoli duo after parting ways with Kylian Mbappe.
While Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is open to selling the Nigerian striker, he has deemed the 23-year-old winger non-transferable. However, Kvaratskhelia’s agent threw his Partenopei future in doubt during the group stages of EURO 2024.
He was adamant the former Dinamo Batumi star should leave Napoli to continue his development in the Champions League. Conte’s side will not feature in European football next season following an abysmal 10th-place finish in Serie A last term.
